Life Experience Assessment Program
The Life Experience Assessment Program (LEAP) at Exagora Theological Seminary is a unique opportunity for individuals with ministry experience to earn college credits towards their degree program. If you have worked in ministry for years as a counselor, missionary, pastor, preacher, or teacher, the LEAP program is designed to apply college credits towards the Degree Program of your choice. This means you can receive recognition and credit for what you have already learned, and reduce your course load by up to 30%.

Program pROCESS
Life Experience Assessment Program
Here is an overview of the LEAP process:
- Enroll. Leap Applicants must already be accepted into Exagora Theological Seminary.
- Determine Eligibility To qualify for the LEAP program, applicants must have prior learning, work experience, ministry experience, seminars attended, books read, and professional licenses, certificates, and diplomas. Applicants must also present verifiable proof of their previous education and experience, including official transcripts, certificates, diplomas, a complete professional/theological/ministerial resume, and a listing of books read, courses, and seminars attended.
- Portfolio Assessment Evaluation The LEAP program requires applicants to complete a Portfolio Assessment Evaluation, where our LEAP Program Instructors will guide you through the process of articulating and organizing your achievements into an assessment portfolio that is ready to be examined and credited to your degree.
- Bible Knowledge Exam In addition to the Portfolio Assessment Evaluation, applicants must pass a 400 question Bible knowledge exam, which is a College-Level Examination. The exam allows applicants to demonstrate their mastery of introductory college-level material and earn college credit for what they already know.
- Application Process To apply for the LEAP program, applicants must submit a completed LEAP application along with the required documents to complete their Portfolio Assessment. Once the Portfolio Assessment is complete, applicants will receive the DTS Bible Knowledge Equivalency Exam via email. To be eligible for the LEAP program, applicants must receive a passing score of no less than 70% on the exam and pay a $250.00 LEAP Application Fee.
- Receive College Credits Upon successful completion of the LEAP program, applicants will receive college credits towards their degree program. These credits will be recognized by Exagora Theological Seminary and can be applied towards the Degree Program of the student’s choice.
Program Tuition & Fees
Life Experience Assessment Program
Here’s the cost breakdown for the LEAP program at Exagora Theological Seminary:
- Portfolio Assessment & Application:
To complete the Portfolio Assessment Evaluation, applicants must pay a fee of $250. This fee covers the cost of the evaluation and the guidance provided by our LEAP Program Instructors. - Credit Award:
Once the Portfolio Assessment Evaluation is complete, applicants will receive college-level credits towards their degree program. There is a fee of $30 per credit awarded. - Tuition:
Once credits are awarded, the student is responsible for the tuition necessary to finish their chosen degree program.
